Best Hip Hop Albums/EPs of July 2024

The previous month of July provided a number of dope new Hip Hop releases, that I felt were a bit quiet in their reception. One obvious and notable release was the new album by “Common & Pete Rock” entitled “The Auditorium Vol. 1”, however most of the other Projects weren’t talked about much (Except for Rakim as well as Eminem’s new Projects). The month of July also gave way to dope new projects from Thought Provokah, Freeway & Jake One, Ransom & MadeinTYO, MoseL, Grafh & 38Spesh, Rakim, Vega7 The Ronin & Ferris Blusa, Mickey Factz & Tobes, DJ Muggs & Raz Fresco, Sefa M and more. The majority of these Projects were released on common dsps except for one Project which is currently exclusively on bandcamp. I noted which album this is below. As far as stand out Projects, I would say the New Album fron Common & Pete Rock “The Auditorium Vol. 1” is clearly the best on this list, but also the new album from Emcee, producer "Thought Provokah" entitled “We’ll Be Right Back After These Messages” confidently claims the 2nd spot on this list due to the awesomely soulful beats by Producers Talen Ted, Pure Fact, Lonsso, Magnum Beats, Suspenseful and Reasonable (Producer Talen Ted contributed my favorite beats but the other producers delivered really good as well). Aso what made the albun dope is his thoughtful and people relatable lyrics throughout, and the overall concept and skits he uses to paint the picture of the album. Freeway and Jake One do a wonderful job with their sequel album “Stimulus Package 2” as Jake One delivers some really raw soulful beats while Freeway, delivers his passionate raw vocals which perfectly compliments Jake Uno's beats. Ransom and MadeinTYO come together for a 3 track EP, where the soul is certainly delivered production wise, while Ransom shines again lyrically as he usually does. Che Noir also has a really dope feature on this EP. Detroit Emcee MoseL also delivers his new album after a few years hiatus and brings it like he usually does with the soulful and meaningful lyrics. There are much more dope Projects that were released in July. Check out the remainder of them in rank order from 1 thru 18

Check out my favorite Hip Hop Projects for the month of July 2024 in rank order from 1 thru 15 below. The remainder is in no specific order.

The majority of these projects are currently available on traditional digital streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music etc, except for one which is currently on Bandcamp.
