Lyrically, Open Mike Eagle spits a series of stream of conscious rhymes about going through life, overcoming and more. The subtle delivery of the verses flow seamlessly in synch with the beat, and the hook really helps to accentuate the vibe musically. What stands out significantly is Diamond D’s production because it appears as though it was made to be paired with the flow of a dope Emcee. In this instance, Open Mike Eagle shines.
