Lots of dope new Hip Hop Albums/ EPs were released in the previous month of August 2023. Also the month where Hip Hop Celebrated its 50th Birth Day. Half of these projects I learned of throughout the month of August when they first came out but the rest I had to go back to find and research. The following is my selections in rank order from 1 thru 20. My favorite Projects come from Artists Homeboy Sandman, Noname, D2x, Squeegie O, Count Bass D, Mick Jenkins, Backwood Sweetie and more.
The majority of these Projects are available on traditional digital streaming platforms however a few releases are currently exclusively on bandcamp. I noted which ones are only currently on bandcamp below.
