Our favorite Creative and Conscious Hip Hop Album of the week goes to the highly talented and thoughtful LA Emcee “Cashus King” who you may be familiar with from his numerous features with fellow LA Emcee “Blu”. He’s been quite busy this year releasing his “Cashus Kingdom” Album in February and his 1 track EP “Heaven Man Earth”, this new Album entitled “The W.O.W. (The Weight Of Wind)” however is his longest Project/Album of the year so far clocking in at 13 songs, an Hour and five minutes long and is full of thoughtful lyrics on topics related to the realities of life in the hood, societal pressures, mental health challenges, overcoming, Black Excellence, appreciation for Women and more thoughful subjects. What's special about Cashus is his strong and impactful vocal delivery. I think his expression vocally always keeps the listener's attention due his burst of energy and clear recital of his rhymes, and he does that effortlessly on this project. The W.O.W.
