Greetings it’s Cril from Out Da Box! I wanted to be as straightforward for this post and offer a podcast item that absolutely works from my years of experience. There are certainly other options out there that I believe will work exceptionally but I like to give suggestions based on what I absolutely know and experienced. So if you want to take your home podcast studio up another notch, I truly encourage you to invest in the RODECaster Pro Podcast Production Studio. See current price here.
If you’re concerned it might cost a little too much for your budget, I understand, but I can tell you that it’s more than worth the purchase. What makes this Rodecaster Pro board so good is the fact that its audio quality is extremely clean and clear, also the board can be used to play back computer or phone audio/music as if you were running a live radio show. What makes it even more amazing is that it’s just one simple usb connection to your computer (for plug and play). You don’t have to worry about having a bunch of different input cables to connect to this device and get optimum value. It also comes with 8 audio pads that have some cool sound effects pre installed, but you can also install your own custom sounds to be activated by the pads. The preamps on this device sound amazing, you barely hear any hiss or background noise especially when connecting a standard XLR Mic like the quality cost effective Behringer XM8500 or the Rode Pod Mic. The Rodecaster Pro also comes with 4 Microphone Channels that you can put 4 separate microphones into and use at the same time.
The other cool thing about the RODECaster Pro Podcast Production Studio is that it enables Bluetooth Connectivity and you can literally play back any Bluetooth connected audio device (like your smart phone) through your Rodecaster Pro board. The board also enables multitrack recording by way of connecting through a D.A.W. Software (like Audacity) or by simply using a microSD card to record then import the multitrack through the D.A.W. The benefit of multi track recording is essential to podcasts, especially if the podcast involves multiple guests speaking or if there’s a music bed playing under the main host’s voice. It allows you to separate tracks so that you can adjust them individually if need be, in post production. The SD card option also allows you to record a podcast pretty much anywhere without having an internet connection or computer, but you can also use your smart phone to connect via bluetooth for live phone calls while remotely using this board.
There’s so much more benefits to this RODECaster Pro Podcast Production Studio but what I expressed earlier is what I consider the most basic benefits. I have an Amazon affiliate link below for this item as well as affiliate links for the 2 MIC’s I mentioned earlier and an XLR cable you will need to connect any XLR microphone to, feel encouraged to simply click the link if you'd like to purchase. I consider this RODECaster Pro board to be the best item investment I have ever made so far as a podcaster. I truly believe you will be happy with this product. Have fun and success on your podcasting journey!
